TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card

I was so pleased that Melissa and Gayla, owners of Two Paper Divas,  have designed a Dandelion set of stamps called "Dandelion Wishes".  Such a childhood memory playing with these and to grab them and blow on them before the wind gets them.  When I saw this stamp set in their online store......I said "I gotta have it"!!

The floral paper came from a tablet of nature 12 by 12 card stock that I found on sale for $5 at Michael's one day while I was in Denver recently.  What a wonderful find!  So I imagined this Dandelion stem sticking up in the middle of the flowers.  By the way, the "find" at Michael's was so popular with my weekly morning card class ladies.....they wanted this group of papers also so Dinah was able to locate and get them for some of the gals.  Yahoo for Dinah!!

You also may notice something new on my cards and this is thanks to my friend, Melissa Rodgers.   I now have my very own designed by Carryn Dyer "Watermark" which will appear on all of my cards online.  That is the "white splotch" that you see on my card.  This one denotes that I am a Design Team Diva for Two Paper Divas.  But, she also has worked on a basic "Watermark" for me as well.  Hard to say "Thank You" enough to you, Melissa!!

So, enjoy the card and future posts.  Thanks for stopping by!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Post for Week of 5/18/2014

Today I decided to just do a very CLEAN AND SIMPLE card for my Two Paper Divas posting.  I wanted to try out a new die, for me, from Avery Elle called Pinked Die.  So one thing led to another and I was doing and finished a Diva card.  Enough said........but I have loved this bouquet which was designed by Melissa and Gayla, the owners of Two Paper Divas.  I love the simplicity of it.  The card has sparkle to it because of the Cryogen white card stock that I used......but too bad you cannot see that!!  I used my recent favorite tool....the Wink of Stella clean brush.  It just carried on more sparkle.  I send Birthday wishes to all who have a Birthday in May.....have a great one!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS stamp from their Mason Jar Fillers 1 set and the sentiment is from their Banners 2 set of sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you next time!!  Hugs....

TWO PAPER DIVAS ......A Chocolate Moment!!

This card is for my Weekly entry to TWO PAPER DIVAS ..... being as I am a Diva Team Member.  The Stamps, including the sentiment, are from the Two Paper Divas collection of creative stamps.  You can go to their site and purchase these or any of their other stamps that have been designed for Card Making and Scrapbooking as well.  The center Chocolate Strawberry and the Sentiment are from their latest grouping of adorable stamps.

The materials that I used for this card are the following:

Paper stock:       Memory Box Cherry Blossom;  Gina K. Designs 120 lb. White Card stock; 1-1/2" Inchie for the Center Strawberry; Stampin' Up Brown for accent and Cryogen White for the card base (adds a nice sparkle to the inside)
Inks:   Momento Tuxedo Black and Stampin' Up Early Espresso
Markers:  Tombow and Distress Markers by Ranger
Additional:  Seam Binding Ribbon, Glossy Accents and Wink of Stella Clear Brush

As I look at the chocolate on the center strawberry......I just wish I had a real one in front of me to eat!  YUM!!!

ANGLED ART

The architectural side of my Interior Design Degree and my years as a Kitchen and Bath Designer will draw me (no pun) to play in angles with my cards.  I saw this card concept on Splitcoaststampers and decided to put my twist on it.  I love the following stamp sets:  Hero Arts Stamp Set "Brush", Paper Smooches Stamps "I Heart Art" and the Mama Elephant's with the Hello Crafty Friend in this set.  So, I brought them together on this card.  When I saw the artists pallet on the Mama Elephant's set......I knew that I needed to use the Enamel Dots from Studio Calico on it.  Too Cute!!  Figuring the right angle that I wanted was the first step and then positioning all the Ink Spots on one block and coloring these stamps with my Tombow markers all at once to prepare for ONE STAMPING process was important!!  It was a fun card to make and one I hope that my students will enjoy doing this next week. Happy Stamping!!

Two Paper Divas Design Team Card 5/3/14

I am once again back in the groove and creating for Two Paper Divas.  The stamps used for this card are part of the Two Paper Divas Stamp Collections (www.twopaperdivas.com).  Please take the time and visit the site and enjoy the creations by Melissa and Gayla, owners of TPD, and also the cards by the other creative Design Team Members.  After selecting the card stock for this card, I used a leaf stencil and embossing paste by Studio 490 and Wendy Vecchi for the background.  A hint of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Meadow Green with an overlay of "sparkle" Sheer Shimmer by ImagineCrafts gives this background to begin to layer my Two Paper Divas fun!!  Glossy Accents were placed in notable spots along with a "Bee Brad" on one of the leaves.  Watch for me, "Cards by Carryn", on Two Paper Divas, Pinterest,  and Splitcoaststampers (you will find my cards under the name of Tiny Art Creations).  Enjoy!!
