TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Inlaid Tree
I wanted to do an inlaid card with the Card Class gals this past week, so I grabbed my tree die by Memory Box (I believe) and away it went with the creation. Then is dawned on me that I had the perfect Sentiment from TWO PAPER DIVAS set of stamps "Branching Out". Worked great with the exposed branches.
Not much to really explain about this one other than after I double die cut the card stock, I did an attachment on the back side of the two color inside die cut with a tiny strip of 1/8" score tape at the top and bottom middle of the fitted two pieces on the wrong side. It was at this point that I took the pieces along with the tree die to my Big Shot and die cut the tree. I now have a Bazzill card stock "scalloped edge" in Butter Mint which I can use on another card for a future day!
It has been a snowy day today and we are expecting "round 2" a bigger blast tonight through tomorrow. We probably have around 5" (which was added to about 2 ft still in the yard) from this snow today. Mel and Gayla .... I think this will be heading your way soon!! Stay warm ALL!!

That is such a cool design Carryn :) love the split negative effect with the tree.
ReplyDeleteI have never done an inlaid card Carryn. You always come up with such great new ideas. I will have to try this! Mel
ReplyDeleteThanks Mel .... I have done a couple others but wanted to work with the Class with this one. Using this double die for the edges gives a nice continuation of their designs. The tree is a wonderful split concept for this card. I loved inlaid cards. They are like puzzles. The gals had fun with it in class. Down through the center one has to be careful not to leave crucial pieces left in the vicinity of your Die Cutting Machine!! Ha!!!
DeleteCarryn - I really like how this turned out and that sentiment really worked with this die! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gayla!!
