TWO PAPER DIVAS - Design Team Card - Rain or Shine Umbrella and Scratch-Off Surprise!!
Just received this adorable Umbrella set from TWO PAPER DIVAS. It is a set from their NEW March 2016 release. It has this Umbrella and four different sentiments. You have to have it!!!
After I finished making the card, I "remembered" that I had purchased and received in the mail the Scratch-Off Surprises from Inky Antics. You can see one of the sets of 20 (there are actually three different sets of three sizes) in the second picture and I have just laid one of them over my Sentiment. It is still on the backing. Tomorrow I will be teaching two of my classes and the Afternoon class will make this card. I will present this wonderful surprise to them when they finish the card and see IF they are game to use it!! Love to do surprises!!! Next week I will create a card for the Morning class and play with them!!!
After Class tomorrow, I will actually remove the Scratch-Off piece from its backing and place it on the card. Then I will take a third photo to use on my Blog in a close up!! Then I will finish doing this write up for my Blog!!! Tune in!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Embossed Bird on a Limb
For my card this week, I decided to go back to one of my favorite stamp sets from:
TWO PAPER DIVAS http://www.twopaperdivas.com/
Sing like a Bird http://www.twopaperdivas.com/product/sing-like-a-bird/In the past I have always just stamped it in Black and then colored it in. This time I wanted to emboss this cutie in white and then I colored the branch and the bird with my copic markers. Doing it lightly it did not bleed through so I was able to make the card a one layer card.
SUPPLY LIST:
STAMPS: See above for the Bird and the Sentiment: You Make Me Smile from TPDivas
CARD STOCK: My Favorite Things - Sour Apple
EMBELLISHMENT: Doodlebug Designs - Sprinkles - Winter Assortment; White Cord
Enjoy your creating this Spring!!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS BLOG HOP
I am experiencing my very first BLOG HOP thanks to my friends, Melissa and Gayla, owners of TWO PAPER DIVAS. Never took the time to personally create a card for one in the past but have followed many over the years. So come along with me and I will let you know how this card was created. As I sat and contemplated what I was going to use of my stash of Stamps from Two Paper Divas, I realized I needed another Easter card for a wonderful High School Girlfriend, Betty, and then the stamps to be used became easy. Through the 80's I stayed with this great friend a number of times and loved her collection of Bunnies and especially one that was sorta hiding under her beautiful piano. So, now you know the rest of this story ...... seeing the Bunny peeking out from the inside of the card.
STAMPS: Two Paper Divas - "Some Bunny"; "It's All About The Egg"; "Wishing You A Happy Easter
PAPER: Neenah Solar White 110 lb - Card Base; Ranger Ink Gloss
INK: Versafine Black Pigment; Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink; Simon Says Stamp White Pigment
Die: Lawn Fawn - Stitched Borders (2 pieces of the 4)
ACCESSORIES: Hero Arts White Embossing Powder; Pretty Pink Posh - Sparkling Clear Mix Sequin (smallest); Prima - Snow Lace; White Fun Foam; Prismacolor Premium Colored Pencils
I took a standard size A2 card base and scored it at 4-1/4" and 1-1/2". The 1-1/2" became the flap which I designed the focus around. After I stamped the eggs (3 of the 6 in the set) in the white pigment ink and embossed with the white powder, I used the round blending tool with the Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink on the strip of Glossy Paper. Just that touch of soft color was what I wanted. I added the two strips of lace with 1/8" score tape and raised the strip with the Fun Foam. I love the Border Dies from Lawn Fawn which give the card a "stitched" look. The rest of what I created on the card is easy to see.
Be sure to check out all the amazing projects by the Two Paper
Divas Design Team members!
Carryn - that's me
To each of you visiting the Blog Hop - Enjoy!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card using a Sentiment stamp from the NEW March 2016 release!!
The other day I received this beautiful butterfly die from Memory Box which they created exclusively for Impress Cards and Crafts out of the Pacific Northwest. I have been purchasing some of my card making products from Impress for many years. Good reliable company with some creative ideas in their Project Ideas.
The sentiment stamp set is one from the 2016 March release for TWO PAPER DIVAS which occurred today, 3/5, and it speaks to something we should ALL practice in our daily life. I performed a little surgery on the stamp and separated some of the words!!
STAMPS: Two Paper Divas - Sentiment stamp BE The Reason
PAPER: MFT "Replenishments" - Whip Cream; Copper Shine; Copper Sparkle
DIE: Memory Box - Fluttering Branch made exclusively for IMPRESS Cards + Crafts
INK: Versamark
EMBOSSING POWDER: Zing Metallic (Copper)
GLUE FOR DIE: Ranger Multi Medium Matte
I made a Belly Band 1" x 9-5/8" out of the Copper Shine.
ENJOY YOUR CARD MAKING!
P.S. Looking at how the card looked in the second picture, I decided to go back to the card and added some 1/2" score tape to attach the folded back flap on the front. For two reasons I made this change: It looks better and the Belly Band is easier to get on and off!! I did not take another picture!
CARDS WHICH I TAUGHT RECENTLY - FEBRUARY 2016
In the first picture, I have to thank Debbie Hughes for the beautiful little blue flower card which she created and I did my take on it. So sweet!! Some cards are missing from these three groups because I used them before I took pictures ..... oop's!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - St. Patrick's Lucky Day
I have been away from my Crafting for a week now because Roger, my husband, threw us for a tizzy around here. Off to the ER we went and then he was plopped into the hospital for a few days. He was losing blood, inside, and they had to find it. Lots of tests this week. Nothing serious, thank goodness, but he will have to watch it if he gets too tired!! Could be a sign again of the hemoglobin being low again. I am just a little behind in card making!!
March is almost upon us and soon IT WILL BE MY BIRTHDAY and a few days later will be St. Patrick's day. Time to bring out the Shamrocks and dance a jig!!!
My morning Tuesday Class does not like to necessarily "Fussy Cut" so I had the afternoon Class do this card a couple of weeks ago.
STAMPS: Two Paper Divas - Lucky Me! Set
I used Woodgrain cardstock from Ellen Hutson which I love to have on hand for texture to my cards without the need to dry emboss all the time. I then used my daubers in the various rainbow colors of distress inks. For the "touches of GOLD" I used Sulky Sliver Metallic gold thread; Gold Uniball pen for the Buckle; and ImagineCrafts Gold Sheer shimmer Spritz for the added gold touch on the base card.
Hope that each of you find your POT OF GOLD!!! Happy Card Making .......

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Star Die Masculine Birthday
I love these two sentiments from TWO PAPER DIVAS. They are not sold together but they each draw attention to themselves uniquely.
When I saw this Stars Die Set by My Favorite Things, I knew that I would find wonderful usages for them either attached as they are in the beginning purchasing them as shown above or eventually I will clip them apart and use them individually. Because on this card I used them from the negative. Just the "die". There is a lot of design from the positive or loose stars which would be great collectively or individually in their different sizes. So the white cards stock is just die cut and placed over the turquoise card stock. Pretty plain!!! So, I cut the stars one more time out of thin silver glitter paper and did an inlay onto the white. Made the star pop.
STAMPS: Two Paper Divas sets: Everyday Sentiments (Enjoy); Word Block Silhouettes (Birthday)
INK: Versafine Black Pigment Ink - Good strong black ink especially for the more solid letters in the "Enjoy".
Happy Creative Stamping .......nice clean and simple card!!!

CARDS I TAUGHT IN MY WEEKLY CARD CLASSES - JANUARY AND FEBRUARY 2016
The second to the last grouping only has three cards ..... I already sent the fourth card (?) off in the mail. Now ALL the Valentine cards have been mailed to family. The Classes enjoyed their cards and the techniques. This weeks cards are not included here because I am having a make up class for three who could not do the cards on Tuesday. Will post those cards on the weekend.

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Birdie heading off on a Journey!!!
Will be back later to do my write up ..... IT IS BLUE AND ORANGE SUNDAY - SUPER BOWL!!! GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!
Well as most of you know, who care, THE BRONCOS WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!!
This card was created for my TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card this week AND also Card Class for this week. I will once again post it in the group of four cards once I teach the Make Up Class on Saturday.
SUPPLIES:
Stamps: TPDivas Stamp Sets: "Branching Out" and the sentiment is from "Simple Phrases"
Dies: Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Ink: Versafine Black Pigment & SU Soft Sky
ZIG Clean Color Real Brush: Oatmeal, Mid Brown, Lemon Yellow, May Green, Yellow & Lt. Green
Silver Stickles
I chose to not pop up any of the stitched Dies. I wanted a flat surface and creation of the Inlaid look. Using a torn piece of card stock, a large sponge dauber and the Soft Sky Ink, I create clouds.
Love this Birdie!!!
Enjoy creating!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS - FIRST CHALLENGE - February, 2016
TWO PAPER DIVAS is an online Paper Crafting Stamp Company which I have been a designer (Design Team) for in the last few years. Melissa Rodgers and Gayla O'Dell are the owners & creators of the company. First and foremost they are good friends and really fun ladies.
They have decided to have their first Challenge (February 2016) and the black and white picture above is the concept. I will admit ..... this is my first Challenge. I could have done one many times in the past but because of teaching "weekly" card classes for over 5 years (and working with others on a one-on-one basis for many years beyond that & working -playing- in so many girlfriend's stores) I just never got involved. I hesitated for a while when Melissa first asked if I would become a "Diva" with Two Paper Divas. You know it is one of those things ..... how do you turn down a friend which she has been since 2004.
So, I started with three colors which I love of the Distress Inks. Color palette is typically, as an Interior Designer by Degree, my first look at when I even am doing card making. When I spotted the object which basically looked like a flower, I knew that I wanted to do my favorite ..... a shaker!!
After I colored with the three Distress Inks, I added water droplets and a glitter spray. Then giving the "curve" as shown in the concept photo, I used a punch (eyelet) look. BUT, it still needed something, even though I was going to make a shaker over it. I remembered that TPDivas created a recent stamp set which is called the "Background Stamps #1". There are four 2" x 2" stamps with different designs which would give each of my colored strips their own individuality. I used Hero Arts Shadow Ink in the soft granite instead of black to give a lighter look. The fourth stamp from that set was used on the Balloon pattern paper and I stamped it in Simon Says Stamps White Pigment Ink (hard to see it in the photo). I pulled the original "Birthday Wishes" set (Retired now) and used the Balloon and the Girlfriend sentiment from that set. This set was replaced with an updated version by the same name.
When making the shaker, I knew that I had to use two pieces of clear Plastic sheeting. After going to that much detail on the three colored strips, I did not want to totally cover it up doing a normal concept of a shaker.
Happy Challenge Ladies!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Inlaid Tree
I wanted to do an inlaid card with the Card Class gals this past week, so I grabbed my tree die by Memory Box (I believe) and away it went with the creation. Then is dawned on me that I had the perfect Sentiment from TWO PAPER DIVAS set of stamps "Branching Out". Worked great with the exposed branches.
Not much to really explain about this one other than after I double die cut the card stock, I did an attachment on the back side of the two color inside die cut with a tiny strip of 1/8" score tape at the top and bottom middle of the fitted two pieces on the wrong side. It was at this point that I took the pieces along with the tree die to my Big Shot and die cut the tree. I now have a Bazzill card stock "scalloped edge" in Butter Mint which I can use on another card for a future day!
It has been a snowy day today and we are expecting "round 2" a bigger blast tonight through tomorrow. We probably have around 5" (which was added to about 2 ft still in the yard) from this snow today. Mel and Gayla .... I think this will be heading your way soon!! Stay warm ALL!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Balloons Make Me Smile!!!
Balloons up in our beautiful Blue sky here in Colorado always make me Smile. It is Winter here now and we are so lucky to see the Balloons up every season. THE WONDERFUL TOURISTS!!!! Tomorrow I am starting another Online Water Color Class (Intermediate) and I decided it would make a wonderful background for this Balloon. I am planning to do a Pre Class Post this evening of the card.
STAMPS: TWO PAPER DIVAS - "You Are My Sunshine" (Located in the OTHER Category)
and the Sentiment "You Make Me Smile". The Sunshine set is an older set but one of my favorites!!
INK: Versafine - Onyx Black
CARDSTOCK: Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor (Textured Side)
PIECING: Simple Stories - I Heart Summer & Tim Holtz Linen Ribbon for a piece on the basket of the Balloon
WATER COLOR: Kuretake Gansai Tambi
There is always such a final touch when you splatter ink. When I used the Linen Ribbon on the basket of the Balloon I stretched it (on purpose) and it made it very open weave. Almost like the Balloon has a very used basket!!
UP UP AND AWAY!!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Home, Family & Blessing
This Sentiment by TWO PAPER DIVAS speaks volumes and I am lucky for 50 Years of marriage to know all three statements. Pretty special and I thank Roger, my husband, for giving me these wonderful years. I put only three die cut houses on this card ...... but if truth be known ..... he and I have lived in too many places (homes and apartments) in all these years and the card could not hold all those die cuts!! HA!!
I will be back to finish this card later!!
If any of you were concerned about stamping on a doily, well obviously this shows you that they will really stamp easily. Some of my students were unnerved by it at first and every single one of them did perfectly. I backed it with the pink circle die to make the sentiment stand out. I love the die cut homes and it just accents the concept of the Sentiment.
Have a great day creating ..... I need to get busy and create five more cards and cut for classes by Tuesday .... Yikes this is Sunday .... BYE!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Bright Side
I am on a roll ...... just completed another TPD Design Team card. When Inspiration rattles out of my brain .... gotta go with it.
Will be back to do the write up!!!
Okay, I am back to do a short write up but first let me explain to those who have already visited my site and notice a change ...... I removed the first picture because of a discovery I made ..... there was a piece of pop up under the black side which had slipped over and was peeking out one of the punch out holes. You probably did not care but I did ...HA!
STAMPS: Two Paper Divas - Watt's Up Set
INK: Versafine Black Pigment Ink
EMBOSSING POWDER: Ranger "Clear"
PUNCHES: Martha Stewart All around punch
Edge punch
When I first saw this set of stamps, I just had a head full of concepts. But, this one popped into my head first and I wanted to develop it. When you are stuck on creativity, let the Sentiment speak to you and go with it.

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Best Fishes
Well ...... I did it like I said that I might!!! Thank you Melissa Rodgers, Co-Owner of TWO PAPER DIVAS!!! You inspired me to do this card with your "original" design of the Fishies in the Gum Ball machine that you did for the December 2015 release of the stamp set "I Chews You". Knowing that I had the die of the Gum Ball Machine from Simon Says Stamp (2015) which they put out for a Shaker card. This is not a Shaker but it almost could have been the way that I designed it........BUT Mel .... you totally get the credit for the creation. Thank YOU!!
STAMPS: TWO PAPER DIVAS - Best Fishes Stamp Set (Fish and Sentiment)
PENS: Zig Clean Color Real Brush (Red, Lilac, Light Blue, Cobalt Blue & Lemon Yellow)
DIES: SIMON SAYS STAMP & Essentials by ELLEN - Bohemian Garden by Julie (Greenery)
Again ..... I have to say thank you to Melissa Rodgers for the concept **** AND also to Gayla O'Dell both are owners of Two Paper Divas. To Gayla .... Yes I had to order the ZIG pens because of you. Not a full set but enough to get through the basic coloring. I love the "brush"!!!
Happy coloring out there!!!
This card is going to my dear friend, Judy Davidson, for her Birthday on Monday. I will email it to her, teach a class on Tuesday with it and then put it in the MAIL to Judy. A little sneaky!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Ribbon Valentine
We are approaching Valentine's Day in another month so I decided I needed some more Valentines to send out. I have so much ribbon, like most of us who craft, so I decided to grab a couple of the Stamps from TWO PAPER DIVAS to create a quick card.
STAMPS: TWO PAPER DIVAS - Large Conversation Heart set and the Candy Hearts set
DIES: Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies - Large Scallop Heart and Small Heart by Stampin'Up
VARIOUS RIBBON - My Stash
CARD STOCK: Essentials by Ellen - Woodgrain Embossed ; and Neenah Solar White 110 lb.
ACCESSORIES: Heart Washi Tape; Pink and White Twine; DoubleBug Pink Sequins and Heart Punch
Once I cut my card stock, I die cut the scallop heart out in the Woodgrain cardstock and laid it on top of the base card. Once I had it in the correct position, I put pencil marks to show me where the heart will be on the Card Base. This gives me the positioning I needed to place the rows of various ribbon of choice. I glued the ribbon down. I popped up the piece of Woodgrain paper. See the picture of the card for placement of the Washi Tape and the Twine running through the three hearts.
Now in hind site, I will have the Gals in Card Class on Tuesday use the "Lips" from the TWO PAPER DIVAS - Sending Love - set of stamps on the inside around the Candy Hearts in 3 places. Spark a little red color!!! I probably will used a little touch of Wink of Stella .... perhaps!!
Have a wonderful DAY!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team card - Birthday Fishes 2016
What a wonderful "sweet" Birthday Stamp set from TWO PAPER DIVAS for January 2016!!! I love my window dies and what a perfect time to use one.
I will be back to do my write up!!!
Okay .... here it goes with one of favorite cards in a while!! First of all .... my go to Die set for the front of my cards so many times is this wonderful set of combination Dies from Mama Elephant (Clearly Creative Cuts). I will use one or the other or a combo of both in the same colors or accent colors as I have done here. AND then one of the adorable Mini Windows by Julie Ebersole for Essentials by Ellen. This concept of dies just screamed for me to use my new TPDiva Fishes!!
STAMPS: TWO PAPER DIVAS Stamp Set - Best Fishes
INK PENS: Tombow Water Color Pens - chosen only for the colors - No Watercolor technique was done
WINK OF STELLA - Clear Brush for the Fishes/Bubbles
Black and White Twine
These little guys will return soon to another card and perhaps like Melissa's (TPD co-owner) card using the bubble gum machine. Check out her card on twopaperdivas.com.
