TWO PAPER DIVAS DESIGN TEAM CARD - Sweetest Day Birthday Card

Well lots of Kudos to me for getting a card by myself again onto my BLOG.  Even my Watermark is on it .... can you see that!!??  I am exhausted!!!  HA!!!

STAMPS USED:  Two Paper Divas - Seed Packet Fruit and Birthday Greetings
DIE:     Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels Twenty-Five
CARD STOCK:  Neenah Solar White and Jelly Bean Green from Gina K Designs
COPIC MARKERS:  G21, G82, YG25, BV17
PUNCHES:  EK Scallop and EK Round 1-1/4"
RIBBON: GINA K DESIGNS
INK:  Memento Tuxedo Black and VersaFine Onyx Black (for the Sentiment)
SCOR TAPE
SEQUINS: Green

Everything is pretty obvious how the card was put together except that I Die cut the Green card stock and one Solar White piece.  I stamped the Black Berry branch on the green first and then punched the circle out.  I positioned the green over the white and drew some pencil lines to know where to place the stamp for stamping on the white piece.  Once the white piece was colored, I then popped up the green on the white and then using scor tape I attached these pieces to the white scalloped piece.  This is another "Spotlight Technique".  It is different from the previous card which I posted with the flowers in the wheelbarrow.

WONDERFUL DAY ..... for my figuring out my computer system again.  Whew!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS DESIGN TEAM CARD - Happy Father's Day

This weekend we are celebrating the special men in our lives AND I am also thinking about the men who have been in our physical life but now we hold very dear in our hearts.  This card I designed for my wonderful husband (shhhhhh! .... he will get it on Sunday).  I also created it for my ladies in card class a week ago so they could give it to their special guy.

Melissa and Gayla of TWO PAPER DIVAS designed these darling Owls called "Hooters" and very appropriately named.  I first embossed the cream colored card stock with this fun embossing folder (name ?); stamped the Hooters with Memento Black Ink; colored the various places with my copics; and using pieces of the fun papers from Amy Tangerine "Plus One" paper pack, I stamped and cut out and then paper pieced the owl clothing.  This paper pack is full of pretty sweet papers.  There are 36 different designs but there are only one sheet of each.  So, if I am using any for my card classes .... something like this is perfect for the amount of students I have.  When the card was done, I had to laugh because the Big Eyes were going funny on the "boy".  Roger is having eye issues right now!!  Not funny for him but cute on the little owl!!!  I have always loved these googly eyes.  The ticket is a stamp from TPD..... their grouping of four stamps called "Tickets".  The Sentiment is from the TPD set "Handy Guy".  This set is the perfect set to have in your collection for when you need that special "Male" card we tend to not make enough of in our day-to-day designing.   Finally, I added the twine.

Once inside the card, I added the tool box from the "Handy Guy" set along with the Sentiment from TPD "Birthday Greetings" (see this one can be used for Father's Day).  The Heart is from TPD "Sending Love" set.  I cropped the corners using the Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper.  I loved these tools by We R Memory Keepers.

So as not to overlook the back of the card, I used the Sentiment from TPD's "Sending Love" set.  The Heart here and on the front is also a TPD's stamp.

You can see more fun samples using this set HERE on Two Paper Divas website or if you'd like to purchase this stamp for only $9.95 go HERE.

Love these GUYS!!!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to go shopping.......at TWO PAPER DIVAS!!  See ya next card but I must once again thank Melissa for her assistance in my BLOG!!  Love you my wonderful friend!!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS DESIGN TEAM CARD - Garden Joy - Spotlight Stamping

This card is actually my latest DESIGN TEAM CARD CREATION for TWO PAPER DIVAS.  This stamp set consists of the Garden Equipment only.  The Sentiment is from the "Happy Mother's Day" set which was released earlier in the year.  With spring planting so totally on my radar and those of us in this climate ..... it seemed like a wonderful card to create for DIVAS and my students next week. With six or seven students in my weekly morning class, I decided that would be way too much coloring in a two hour class ..... so "Spotlight Stamping" is a wonderful option when time is critical in our creative lives.  I used my Spectrum Aqua Pens to color along with a water pen to move some of the colors in the flowers.  Love these pens!!  I used 100 lb. Solar White card stock but did not spritz the paper with water first - not using that much color.  BUT, knowing I was using some water, I used VersaFine black Pigment Ink by Tsukineko as my ink of choice for the stamps.  Memento Ink (my choice when coloring with Copics) would have run in this case.  I used my favorite Die by Mama Elephant (Clearly Creative Cuts) and ran it through my Big Shot machine twice (the two different colors).  The bow is made with Paper Rope by Recollections.  I used Glossy Accents (in dots) to secure it to the card.  I used one of my circle dies to cut the Spotlight.  I chose not to do a double circle as one might do in some Spotlights.

And here is a close up of the spot light image..

You can find this stamp set and many others on the Flowers & Garden link on Two Paper Divas website.  You must see the latest and greatest releases from TWO PAPER DIVAS along with the past great standbys for your stamping creations.

Please come back soon.  I hope to be able to start posting a number of the cards my classes are creating with my help!!

TWO PAPER DIVAS DESIGN TEAM CARD - Let Freedom Ring

Today I'd like to share my 4th of July card which I created for TPDivas.  As you can see below, the Stamp set is awesome for a Patriotic card.  I used the larger banner flag and stamped it on a stripe paper;  the Star and the Sentiment.  Just thought I would pass on ...... it is an optical allusion that my white Sentiment banner is not straight.  I am looking at my card in front of me.  It was the angle of the camera.  The papers came from an American Craft 6 x 6 Paper Pad and I just love each of these papers, especially the little License Plates.  The Pinwheel was not created by me but purchased from a set by Pebbles.  I added the red sequins.

If you would like to purchase this stamp simply click here.  This set comes with 8 images and 2 sentiments and is only $17.95!

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to stop by Divas to check out this stamp set and lots of others!

THANKS AGAIN TO MELISSA RODGERS for bailing me out to get this card and the next one on my BLOG!!  I will be created a new one with her assistance in the future ..... so hopefully I will be back to totally doing this BLOG.

Happy Crafting to all!!

CARRYN AGAIN AND NOT KNOWING WHAT I AM DOING W/ THIS COMPUTER

Well here I am having issues with my computer and how to maneuver around in this system.  I am not working in Windows but in Lynx (sp?) and things are just not familiar.   I have created so many cards since my last posting, which my wonderful friend Melissa helped me with.  My big problem......she is in Kansas and I am here in Colorado.

My weekly Card Class ladies have been having fun, they say, with making cards for the last couple of weeks but I just cannot figure out how to get pictures onto this Blog program.  Obviously, I used to do it when I was on my old Windows system.  Hey, I could even get my Watermark onto my cards which I needed when I DESIGNED the cards for TWO PAPER DIVAS!  I think Melissa and Gayla are going to fire this Diva!!!

Yesterday I had an awesome day.  I taught my AM ladies their cards and then in the afternoon Roger and I had lunch with some friends from our old neighborhood back in the early 70's in our New Orleans days.  Notice I said "old neighborhood" not "old friends" .... Ha!  They found out that they were actually just literally down the road from us the day before .... we talked ..... they drove up ... just 30 miles .... we had lunch .... and then we took them on a trip to one of our favorite spots .... Williams Reservoir .... and had a delightful short time seeing that beautiful tranquil site ... and visiting about wonderful times when we were neighbors all those years ago.  Thank you Glinda and Tom for letting us know that you were in our part of the world.  Hugs!!!

Well today it is time to gather some more plants and get ready to plant some pots.  The weather is perfect in our lovely little town.  We do not plant around here until it is close to mid June because it can still get a little chilly until this timing.  We still have a small amount of snow in these beautiful San Juan mountains which we delightfully see from our front deck!!  So for those of you who are planting spring/summer flowers enjoy your day as well.  Tomorrow .... I will be back to creating cards for Class next week.  Hey.....one day you might get to see some more of the cards when I get this figured out.  Hugs to ALL and happy Card Making!!

Two Paper Divas - You Make Life Sweet

Hello all,  my dear friend, Melissa, typed some of these words for me to get things reset on my BLOG.  Her words will always stay here to inspire me to figure out what I need to do with my new computer system.  Thank you precious lady!!!

This card....is such a "yummy" design.  It looks like this dessert is ready to eat.  Waaaahoo!!

This is a top fold card in the limey green and the design paper on the sides is from a very colorful 6 x 6 pad from American Crafts.  I added texture to the paper with a Marvy Crimper.  Then I added a "party flavor" with a Silver Sparkle ribbon from Gina K Designs.

I used the wonderful newer Two Paper Diva stamp set seen below and stamped it in the SU bashful blue which gave a glass dish and spoon look.  Colored the ice cream to look like Strawberry and used Liquid Applique on the whipped cream and did not heat it to give it more of a running look.  When it came to the Cherry on top I used Martha Stewart Garnet Glitter Glue with sprinkles in the cream.  As you can see, I used one of the sentiments from the TPD set.  The stones are from Recollections.

I hope you have enjoyed....and come back to see what gets created again.

Here are all the wonderful stamps in this particular set.

TWO PAPER DIVAS Design Team Card - Bee Happy

I have received some pretty special Design Team Stamp Sets over the last few months while I have needed to be absent to get personal things done.   In looking over the sets, I decided that the "Bee Happy" was what I needed to start with.

STAMP SET:          Two Paper Divas "Bee Happy"
INK                          Memento Tuxedo Black
CARD STOCK:       Solar White for the base
White Polka Dot - American Crafts 6 x 6 Paper Pad from 2013
                                  Yellow Gold for Bee Hive
DIE SET:                  Sizzix Die Set #B56538 (Flourishes)
EMBELLISHMENTS:      Pearls

I stamped the Bee Hive three times on the Yellow Gold card stock and shaped them each just slightly and then popped each of them onto the polka dot card stock.

Now that I have the text ...... time to get the picture transferred to my BLOG.  Our computer Guru has worked on our computer while I was in Denver during April and now I have issues again......they are called "reteach Carryn"!!!  See ya back here once I get this figured out again.
